After-school care and learning for children in P1 – P7

Early Learners is a West Linton based community run nursery, for children aged 2 to 5 years which takes place in the New Church Hall. We also run an after-school club called Westies! at the primary school for children in P1 to P7. We provide a safe, stimulating environment in which children, through purposeful play, are encouraged to develop at their own rate. Our ethos is to have fun through child-led learning.

In our setting we value each child as a unique, creative, independent learner. We are always approachable and seek to nurture all children in our care through outdoor experiences, responsive planning and deep knowledge of each child as a learner:

Here the children choose to focus their time on a number of different child led activities. The staff endeavour to make it a fun environment that caters to the different needs of all the children by planning activities to support their imaginations and development whilst keeping fun the main focus. The children have selected the following values for Westies:
